Job Summary: The Comfort Advisor is a professional representative of General Air Conditioning & Plumbing. Your role is to deliver the most efficient, highest-quality experience in residential HVAC sales. You will meet with clients in their homes to discuss their heating and cooling needs and present solutions to make their personal space more comfortable. Additionally, you will develop marketing strategies to reach new customers and maintain relationships with current customers to determine other needs. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meeting the client’s needs and wants while meeting the minimum budgeted sales as outlined below
- Leads are valuable assets of the company and should be treated as such:
- Maintain a closing ratio on technician-generated leads of 75% or higher
- Maintain a closing ratio on marketed leads of 50% or higher
- Maintain a closing ratio on Costco leads of 25% or higher
- Maintain an average sale price of $6,450 or higher across all leads ran
- Arrive at appointments 5 – 10 minutes ahead of time. First call no later than 9:00 am.
If both decision makers are not present, perform a partial survey and reset the appointment time when all decision makers are available. - Complete the Comfort Survey and a Home Analysis on every call.
- Provide homeowner with a proposal in the home 95% of the time.
- Prepare and present home energy improvement proposals to homeowner’s in-person at their home.
- Selling HVAC products and meeting established company standards and sales expectations.
- Understand and capably present financing options that are offered by approved financing companies.

- Complete all paperwork in a timely and accurate manner. The Comfort Advisor is responsible for financing paperwork as well as ensuring the collection of cash payments. The commission is not paid until the company is paid for the job or the client has signed a financing completion form.
- Develop options for each client to match their needs, wants, and budgets.

The Maintenance Technician Level I is an entry-level HVAC technician in training that has graduated from an accredited HVAC trade school has minimal OTJ training or is a direct hire with no experience. Maintenance Technician level I will under the supervision of a senior technician or training manager perform seasonal maintenance on residential and light commercial HVAC equipment with the ability to educate homeowners on issues or improvements needed.
- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on HVAC equipment.

The Service Technician Level has a minimum of 3 years of experience in the HVAC trade and can perform seasonal maintenance on residential and light commercial HVAC equipment with the ability to educate homeowners on issues or improvements needed. Additionally, Service Technician can run demand service calls on residential and light commercial and is assigned to the on-call schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs preventive maintenance on equipment to prevent equipment failure by cleaning air handling systems and reheating coils.
- Monitor and calibrate air handling systems and replace filters, motors, fans, belts, etc. on systems.
- Repair, replace and adjust vents and ductwork.
- May clean air ducts to maximize efficiency and improve indoor air quality.
- Assist in locating and diagnosing problems, assessing the extent of repairs, and describing options and associated costs to the customer.
- Describe diagnosed problems to the customer in terms that can be understood with options, as possible.
- Assists with repairs of complete systems including repairing, calibrating, or replacing controls, switches, thermostats, transformers, gauges, wiring fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, piping, and other functional components of the system.
- Completes all required documentation on services, explains guarantees/warranties, and collects, and records fees in Service Titan.
- Installs, repairs, replaces, or cleans refrigerant lines, fans, appliance vents, smoke detectors, humidifiers, and grills, as appropriate.

The HVAC Installer Apprentice will assist in the installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in multi and single-family residential homes and light commercial work. Installations will be up to code and General Air Conditioning & Plumbing rigid quality standards. Reports to the office on time and ready to work. Work is performed under direct supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install heating, ventilation, and cooling units for residential customers.
- Travel with the crew to job sites in the service area and work with the team to ensure the schedule is maintained.

The HVAC Installer Associate position replaces, modifies, and/or installs air conditioners and heaters, to meet or exceed the manufacturer’s recommendations, General Air Conditioning & Plumbing standards, and local codes. Our HVAC Installer Associate must be able to troubleshoot, adapt, and resolve/repair all issues that arise during an installation that would keep the equipment from functioning properly. They must be able to communicate with the client regarding the proper operation and owner’s maintenance of the installed equipment and answer related questions as to operation, features, and functions.

Oversees the work of Installer Associates and Install Apprentices to ensure work is performed correctly. Communicates with customers to answer questions, resolve problems, and ensure complete customer satisfaction.

The Client Care Representative (CCR) is responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls from new and existing clients, and booking appointments for maintenance and service, while ensuring our clients receive the highest level of service and follow-up. The CCRs utilize their knowledge of our products and services to address client issues, provide support, and ensure we exceed client expectations.
- Answer inbound calls consistent with General Air Conditioning & Plumbing scripts and procedures.
- Set timely appointments with Technicians, Installers, Plumbers, and Comfort Advisors.
- Respond to client questions, complaints, and issues, and document all calls with detailed job notes.

The dispatcher is responsible for properly matching the service technician best suited for each call. Continually analyzing the scheduled and demand calls against the technician best suited to maximize lead opportunities, revenue, membership conversion, and customer satisfaction. The Dispatcher will ensure calls are prioritized based on profitability and customer service, following the dispatch guidelines of call classifications for General Air Conditioning & Plumbing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Dispatching service and install calls/jobs.
- Closing calls at completion from service and installation.
- Entering data in the call progress in real-time.
- Taking “stock” parts request orders and dispatching part runner.
- Taking “order” parts requests and submitting a requisition to the warehouse.
- Ensure incoming part orders are scheduled with the original tech (promptly).
- Taking additional jobs, job changes, etc. from install, service, and warehouse and making additions or changes to the dispatch board.
- Recording truck stock used by technicians when closing calls.

- During slow periods assigns calls to the top producer while letting the lesser producers go early.

The Sales Lead Coordinator will help bring revenue to our company by generating and managing sales leads for the HVAC and plumbing departments and by executing sales lead strategies. You will create a lasting first impression and will follow up with potential customers and keep strong relationships with already existing customers. Your friendly and motivated attitude will help you to convert interest calls into leads 90% of the time. For existing clients, you will follow through with calls to ensure that they are happy with their products. The crucial responsibilities of this position include converting leads and ensuring that our clients are enthusiastic about how General Air Conditioning & Plumbing has treated them.
- Schedule comfort advisor leads and follow-up appointments.
- Dispatch comfort advisors to appointments and call clients before the appointment.
